SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE
IBTC's Educational Program is a non-governmental Institution, incorporated within a 501c3 non-profit educational organization recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as "Potter's Wheel Ministries, Inc." The ministry is incorporated in the state of Texas.
In our 501c3 status it expresses one of our main goals is to clarify the measures to which we will fulfill our intended purpose which is to make disciples of Jesus Christ our Lord throughout the world by training leaders; being besides other revenues it would institute an International Bible School that trains believers, so that they can practice the biblical truth in their daily life and in ministry situations around the globe. The Institution of Potter's Wheel Ministries, Inc. will assist to train and develop character through the IBTC School of Ministry, that they are able to live an ethical and moral lifestyle and find their place in society and contribute to the good of all; and to lead them into responsibility.
As a International Bible Training Center we would not only be governed by the Union between Potter's Wheel Ministries, Inc. but also accredited by independent non-governmental agencies that exist to help Christian religious organizations without obligatory liberal academic impositions. We choose not to be under State accreditation or receive governmental funding to avoid any State governmental steering which normally accompanies such accreditation.
This Biblical principle of the separation of State and Church is indicated by Christ when He said, "...Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's..." (Mark 12:17). This refers to the fact that as a religious educational institution we are not to be "recognized" by secular accreditation associations, who in turn are recognized by governmental agencies, that exist to offer accreditation to secular schools offering secular degrees; but that we are to seek recognition by religious accrediting associations who are recognized by what we call the Church of Jesus Christ, which has no supreme central office on earth, but is comprised by the Body of Christ, meaning all believers. In Matthew 16: 18-19 and 28:18-20 we read that our authority is derived directly from Heaven.
2 Corinthians 6:14 clearly tells us, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?" therefore we believe that it is contrary to the Biblical principle of Separation of Church and State' to seek secular accreditation or recognition and this is why IBTC School of Minsitry has chosen, in accordance with the inspired teaching of the Bible, not to seek this secular endorsement (neither in the USA, where our Main Campus is located, nor in any of the various countries where our Extension Campuses are located) but to be recognized and accredited by these qualified independent non-governmental agencies that exist to help Christian religious organizations without the obligatory liberal academic impositions.
IBTC is a qualified and internationally recognized program in the Theological studies of the Bible, awarding credits that find acceptation within the international religious communities around the world. Study hours at IBTC School of Ministry will vary depending on its various subjects to which may be studied. At the present moment IBTC School of Ministry is offering Christian degree courses in undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate studies, enabling students to study up to six years to fulfill our Doctoral Programs.
