Breaking Off the Spirit of Fear

The Bible teaches that fear is a spirit; and I must add that it is a terrifying and ugly spirit much like illustrated in the picture! The church unfortunately has handled this spirit very casually, or at least therapeutically in its attempt to steer people around it with mental practices, instead of dealing with it as the Word describes.

We have learned from the Bible that "God didn't give us a spirit of fear: but power, love, and a sound mind." We are also instructed from the Word of God that we are to cast out evil spirits, not ignore them. Therefore, we need to see that fear is an unclean spirit, because it did not come from God, and thereby, should be cast out immediately! ~ DVD Format

Three Divine Levels of Living in God

Yesterday morning I ministered to my congregation a powerful word from this very passage of Scripture that I believe has the potential of launching any one of us into an extraordinary level of living in the Spirit of God. The Greek word for "live" in this passage is the word "Zao." This is not the same word "Zoe" that we find in the Gospel of John which refers to the eternal life of God. Zao, means to be endued with life or possessed with life. It means to cause to revive or quicken. Therefore, to say I "live" as a believer, I am making a declaration that I live in God. We also find in Scripture that Jesus came to bring that life, and that we might have that life more abundant in Him. Whereas, before Jesus said this, He divulged that on the contrary our adversary comes to steal, kill, and destroy. DVD Format

Beyond the Water to the Wine

Mary and Jesus along with His disciples were guests at a wedding in Cana. The wedding ceremony in that culture and time was considered very sacred; not like the liberal view here in America where we change partners like changing clothes. When the wine ran out at this wedding feast there was the potential disaster of embarrassing the groom and his entire family. When Mary saw what had happened she inquired of Jesus to do something. Keep in mind here that Mary and Jesus were just guests at the wedding. But when Mary said this to Jesus He spoke back to her that it was not His time to go public. Even though it was not time for Him to go public, it didn't stop Him from doing what needed to be done for that moment. When God caused the earth to blossom and bud, what did He use? Rain!
